Visual identity and logos
Please review the Quick Reference Guide which offers guidelines for applying the visual identify of the Imperial Oil Foundation and using its name in written text.
Please note that any use of the following logos must be reviewed and approved by the Imperial Oil Foundation.
There are two versions available for use by third parties:
The signature version marked with an asterisk is the preferred version for use by third parties. It must always be accompanied by a specifically worded trade mark disclosure statement as a footnote:
* Registered trade mark of Imperial Oil Limited. Used under license.
Note that the trademark disclosure statement is not part of the digital artwork file. It must be typeset separately as part of your design.
(2) Trade mark symbol
The alternate version of the signature is marked by a trade mark symbol TM and may be used only where space limitations or reproduction methodology cannot accommodate the disclosure statement.
If required, other versions of the various signature designs may be obtained from the Imperial Oil Foundation.
The JPEG file is what you need for presenting logos on the Internet and for importing images into PowerPoint. They are raster formats and are best created at full size of use and can be scaled down but not up. If a larger file is required it should be converted from an EPS format original.
The Encapsulated Postscript file is used for all high quality printing. This file is a vector format and can be scaled up or down without loss of quality. These files are Microsoft Windows compatible format only.
